We are embarking on a research project with one of our landowners who is losing many of the puriri on his property to what appears to be a Phytophthora infection.
There has been a lot of research done showing the effectiveness of phosphite treatment on a variety of Phytophthora around the world and Grant & Helen are already treating their kauri and want to try to save their puriri too.
So we have started this experimental treatment and are working with the team at Bioeconomy Science Institute Bioeconomy Science Institute and are excited to see how it goes. Huge thanks to Grant, Helen, Jed, Avril, Anna, Matthew and Ian for all your help.
